Warsaw Ghetto Daffodils

April 19th, 2013 is the day of the 70th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
Commemorative events will begin with a socio-educational campaign, “Daffodils”, prepared by the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in cooperation with the Warsaw Rising Museum. Daffodils represent remembrance, respect and hope, and bloom in April — the month when the Uprising began. Marek Edelman, one of its leaders, laid a bouquet of yellow flowers, often daffodils, at the Ghetto Heroes Monument every year.
