As we do the last-minute preparations for the 113 countries descending upon our region next week for the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships, we wanted to sincerely thank our community for the outstanding support they have given. This event is an Olympic Qualifier and the last chance for the teams to be part of the Rio Olympic Games next summer. As of this moment, we are proud to report that Houston will host the largest event in the history of the sport. We will also have the eyes of the entire globe upon us with 180+ countries televising the event in over 950 million homes. It’s time for Houston to shine worldwide. We need your help … every lift counts in every session, please attend and support Team USA! We are also still in need of volunteers. Can we count on you?
