I Remember

I look up every night and remember the past,
how long ago it was and how it went by so fast.
I remember all the times we had together,
how your laughter filled the room will stay with me forever.
No matter how many years go by I will always remember,
how your eyes sparkled and danced when you discovered an adventure.
How you cried when something hurt,
but you never gave up no matter what the discomfort.
I'll remember how you always comforted me,
and made me laugh and made me happy.
I will always remember the silly games we played,
no matter what happened you were never afraid.
You stood by me and you loved me,
and you always looked at me adoringly.
I will always love you and never forget you,
that's why I wrote this poem to dedicate it to you.
