by Honorary Consul of Poland in Houston, Dr. Zbigniew Wojciechowski, after his trip to Poland

During my recent visit to Krakow, I had an opportunity to meet with the President of the Association of the Friends of Fine Arts (Towarzystwo Przyjaciol Sztuk Pieknych) Mr. Zbigniew Witek. On the behalf of the Polish-American Educational and Cultural Foundation which is being founded in Houston, Texas, I have established a fund of $2000.00 at the account of aforementioned Association to restore the set of furniture (XIX century Sofa, armchairs, chairs and a table) which are located in the Jan Matejko manor in Krakow-Krzeslawice. In an appreciation of the Houston Polonia effort Mr. Witek pledged his full support to a close cooperation between his institution and the Houston Polonia organizations. During the meeting he donated two sets of Jan Matejko paintings of Polish Kings set of portraits for Polish schools in Houston. Houston Polonia will enjoy a VIP privileges while visiting the Association's Museum and the Jan Matejko Manor in Krzeslawice. Muzeum Czartoryskich w Krakowie
