Dr. Zbigniew Czajkiewicz has accepted the position of the Dean of the School of Science and Computer Engineering at University of Houston-Clear Lake effective September 1, 2009.  Prior to moving to Houston, Dr. Czajkiewicz served as Professor of Engineering and Head of the Center for Applied Research in Engineering and Science at Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania. Dr. Czajkiewicz brings in more than 25 years of university-level education, research, industry and management experience in the United States, Europe and Asia. Dr. Czajkiewicz's past academic appointments include serving as Professor and Chair of the Industrial Engineering program and Director of Computer Integrated Manufacturing Center at the California State University in Fresno. He also served as the graduate program director at Wichita State University in Kansas.
Dr. Czajkiewicz received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering - Computer Simulation from the Technical University of Wroclaw, Poland. He also received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management from Technical University of Wroclaw, Poland. Dr. Czajkiewicz's professional affiliations include the American Society for Engineering Education, the Association for Operations Management, the Institute of Industrial Engineering and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Dr. Czajkiewicz has a strong record of research and publication, which have been funded by several public and private agencies.
