·        The existing parish hall, in its current condition, may only be used through May 2008 at which time the occupancy permit expires. In order to use the hall past that deadline, the premises must be brought to current building code standards established by the City of Houston.

·        The Polish community attending Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and utilizing our facilities has grown dramatically over the last several years. The current parish hall is much too small to accommodate the needs of the present congregation.

·        The number of children attending classes at the parish Saturday School has also grown. Modern suitable facilities are needed in order to continue the cultural and religious education of our children in an appropriate atmosphere conducive to learning.

·        Our area boasts of several Polish secular and religious organizations which would like to utilize a familiar facility for their meetings and activities. Presently, the Polish community does not have any such facility since the closing and sale of the Polish Home this past June.

·        A modern church hall / Polish cultural center will raise the visibility and stature of the Polish community in the eyes of our fellow Houstonians and enable us to more effectively disseminate the achievements, culture, history and rich traditions of Poland and the Polish people to our neighbors.

Can we raise the funds to build a new parish hall / cultural center in Houston?

·        We presently count approximately 400 families as registered parishioners at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.

·        It is estimated that there are nearly 2,000 recently immigrated Polish families in Houston and the surrounding communities and that there are about 55,000 families in the Houston area whose surnames are of Polish origin.

·        We believe that a new and visible parish hall / Polish cultural center will encourage people of Polish heritage in our area to join and support our parish community and also beckon those of non-Polish heritage who would be attracted to the solid fundamental religious and moral characteristics of the Polish community.

·        Seeing that there exist a fair number of people of Polish descent in the area, we can raise the funds to reach our goal but only through the cooperation and support of all of Polonia in the Houston area.
