About Us
Ognisko Polskie (Polish Society of Houston) was created in 1994 to promote the Polish language and culture. Ognisko provides our small community of those who came here recently and those who do not even remember coming but still feel ties with their Polish heritage with both educational and entertaining events. No matter what age you are, you'll find something that will fit your interests. Some of our activities include:
Theater
for college and high school students with annual premieres of Polish plays
and musicals,
Family
picnics and camp-outs,
Seasonal parties with Polish food and music (Andrew's Day, New Year's
Party, Mardi Grass, etc.),
Bridge Club,
Classes of Polish language for adults and children.
