How to find public offers in EU
Nearly 130 thousand public offers have been announced in EU since May 1, 2005. The biggest offers (with the value of Euro130,000 for purchase goods and services, and of Euro 5 MN for construction projects) are published in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union – Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) http://ted.publications.eu.int .
How to search the offers database?
In opinion of experts the most efficient way is to use CPV code (Common Procurement Vocabulary). The code consists of 9 digits maximum. First 8 digits describe goods or services. The 9th digit is used for verification of the previous 8 digits. The system is as follow:
first 2 digits describe an industry – 33000000-0 (medical and laboratory instruments, optical and controlling instruments, watches, pharmaceuticals and medicaments)
first 3 digits describe a sector – 33100000-1 (medical instruments)
first 4 digits describe a sub sector – 33110000-4 (visual instruments for medical, dentistry, and veterinary use)
first 5 digits describe a category – 33111000-1 (X-ray apparatus)
To improve search a supplement vocabulary code may be use, for example M016-4 - for hospital use.

Polish soda market
Poles drink less soda than during previous years. The sector giants are Coca-Cola (40% share of the Polish market) and Pepsi-Cola (25%). Minor soda producers are Hellena and Hoop. The rest of the market is divided into 200 local soda producers. Only 40 of them heavily invested to improve the production lines and become countrywide recognized brand.
