Noce Houstonu
by Tad T. Rozycki

Noc okryla Houston, calunem ciemnosci
Nad Katy, krwawe slonce - zgaslo
Umilkl zgielk pojazdow, cisza w uszach dzwoni
Zasnelo - nasze miasto .....

Nikomu nigdzie, teraz sie nie spieszy
I nikt za nikim, Juz nie goni.
Niesmiale gwiazdy nad miastem - migoca
W granacie niebios toni!

Na skrzyzowaniu - swiatelko zieleni,
Wiec wolna ma droga - do ciebie.
W "Tejano Station" slysze spiew Seleny
Miesiac tez slucha - tam w niebie

Chmura zakryla ksiezyca pozlote
Lzy deszczu na szybach - gina
To miesiac smutny, zaslonil swe oczy
I placze - za Selena!

A ja jade dalej - poprzez miasto spiace
W Houstonu ulic, noc, ciemna
I choc Marysiu, nie siedziaz kolo mnie
Twa milosc, jest zawsze ze mna!

Houston's Nights

Night wrapped the city, in a shroud of dusk
Over Katy, sunset covered clouds, with bloody - red tips
Uproar of zillions cars - stopped, calm rings in my ear
Houston is finally resting, this big city - sleeps!

Nowhere and no one is rushing - no more
And teenage drivers, stopped chasing the cars
In the depth of navy-blue, almost blackish sky
I can see twinkle gently, bashful little stars

I stopped at street's corner, the lights just turned green
So, I continued driving home, to see, darling, thee
On my radio,"Tejano" station played Selena's tune
And the moon listened, together with me...

Suddenly clouds covered, moon's round, glided face
And rain drops like tears, hit my windshield - on
The moon saddened and covered with clouds his sad eyes
And cries, - 'cause Selena, is for ever...............  gone!

So, I still keep on driving, through the sleeping city
Houston's empty roads, left my heart with thee
And although you don't sit, on passenger's seat
Your love is always with me !!
