The Revisionist, a play by Jesse Eisenberg

When young American writer David arrives in Poland, he is greeted warmly by his 75-year-old cousin, Maria. Fueled by a desire to reconnect with her American relations, she welcomes him into her home.  As their relationship develops, they share details about their lives and rediscover what it means to be family.

Stages Repertory Theater sent Houston Polonia special invitation to last week performance with some free tickets, and a group of Poles was lucky to enjoy Thursday (4/12)  show.   THANK YOU, STAGES!

The performance was very well received and most likely better understood by the Poles, than by the others in the audience.   

Many of us know the author, Jesse Eisenberg, even though mainly from his acting career.  He played Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network, and he played a role of David in New York performance of  The Revisionist, next to Venessa Redgrave in a role of Maria. 

Not too late to go to see the play, to meet Maria, David and Zenon, and to hear some Polish language on the stage!
